The doors are open once again at Wednesbury Hub, following a major £1.3 million investment that has transformed the site into a modern, welcoming space for local people to enjoy sport, fitness, and community life.
This exciting project was made possible thanks to funding from the Premier League, The FA and Government’s Football Foundation, supported by Sandwell Council and Phoenix Collegiate.
The transformation includes seven upgraded 3G pitches, new LED floodlights, a revamped gym, and an improved café and pavilion, all designed to create a more sustainable and accessible hub for everyone.
Wednesbury Hub is already home for 16 grassroots football clubs, walking football, Premier League Kicks, SEND sessions, and a pan-disability league, all helping to make sport part of everyday life for the local community.
The reopening marks an exciting new chapter for Wednesbury Hub, ensuring it remains a vibrant, inclusive space where sport and wellbeing can continue to thrive.
