Work is officially underway to build a brand-new Leisure United Football Hub at Derby Racecourse. Alongside a state-of-the-art community hub, it will feature three new full-size 3G pitches and full refurbishment of the existing football turf pitch.
The project is joint funded by Derby City Council and National Football Trust. Developers Alliance Leisure, and main contractors Universal Group, joined and other key stakeholders, including our Operations Director Dean Hogan, at a ground-breaking ceremony at Derby Racecourse this month.
Leisure United will operate the hub on behalf of Derby City Council under the management of the National Football Trust. Construction is due to finish in early 2024, and we are looking forward to welcoming the people of Derby to the pitches, new changing pavilion, stylish community café and meeting rooms.
